Happy International Nurses Day

Happy International Nurses Day

By Benjamin Pulle Niriwa, 13.05.2022

Though some people claim that adults are “Self-sufficient” (van den Toren, 2020), I see it as something that appears to be true but not. In reality very human being on earth need another person: no one is really self-sufficient. I will only believe that people can be self-sufficient (Fig. 1.); if a dead body can bath, dress, put itself into a coffin and burry. When the “Foolish rich man” in the Holy Bible (Luke, 12:15-21. 1611. KJV) was deceived into thinking that he was sufficient and does not care about others, God demanded for his soul.

One of the moments in our lives that we can become vulnerable and need the assistance of another person to survive, is when we fall sick. At this particular moment, one of the person that cannot be left out in our need is the “nurse” (GNA, 2022). Anyone who has ever been attended to by a nurse, especially when he/she has been given an anesthesia or gone through a minor surgery/operation (Jaensson, 2019), would appreciate what I mean. Health is peace: Peace is health (Niriwa, 2022)! For a healthy environment, we cannot our uniqueness which is also peace out. The environment that we create around us, will determine the kind of nurses that we produce. So, today wherever you are say a big thank you to health workers, especially our nurses! Thank you for Reading!
